Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!

Sunday after church we headed out to Flower Mound to visit the Pumpkin Patch. We have been to this same patch for the past three years. Here's Mr. Holden getting geared up for his first pumpkin patch visit.Everyone keeps asking who Holden looks more like, Preston or Elic. When he first came home from the hospital I thought he looked EXACTLY like Preston. But he has changed so much over the past few months that now I'm not sure he looks like either one. I know you couldn't really see Holden's face in the above picture, but here's Elic when he was 9 weeks old at the same pumpkin patch.
The boys were so sweet to take all these pictures without any complaints while waiting patiently for the bounce houses.
What a scary looking "Chewy"!
We LOVE "Me Mouse"!
Isn't Elic so handsome?
My three little punkins. Ahh, brotherly love.
After all the picture taking was over, we headed across the path to the bounce houses. There were lots of different ones to choose from. Preston's favorite is one shaped like a pumpkin. Darren and I both talked about how last year we stuck Elic in the pumpkin house and he couldn't stand up at all. He just laid on his belly and bounced all over the place as the other kids jumped all around him. We even had to climb in and rescue him. This year he was the perfect age and loved jumping all around. Both boys were so excited to slide down this huge slide.

Teamwork

I love this shot of Preston. He's growing up to be such a perfect little gentleman.
We didn't have as much time to spend at the patch as we would have liked. We are already looking forward to going back next year and riding the hayride and barrel train. It was such a wet October that we didn't think we were going to make it to any pumpkin patches so even though our trip was quick, it was still a treat for us all.

When I Grow Up

Here's a conversation that Preston had with his sweet 4's teacher:

Heather: Preston, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Preston: a workerman
Heather: What kind of workerman?
Preston: I'm going to build a McDonald's in my backyard!

I've had this same conversation with him and I even asked him why build one in our backyard when there's one right down the street. He told me "because I want to just walk out the back door and go to it" and "we have enough room in our yard next to the swings." It's something to look forward to.

Can you Believe it!!

Well, I said I'd never create a blog- who has the time to keep up! But I'd like for friends and family to see how the boys are changing. So here's the official first post. I'll back track a little and start with the first day of Sunshine School. I can't believe that Elic is in the 2's! His teacher, Mrs. Andrea, is so sweet and VERY patient. He loves singing in chapel and playing at recess.

Preston is in the 4's and I love that he's upstairs with me. He gets so excited when he sees me in the halls- it's just precious. I can't believe he'll be in kindergarten next year. Where has the time gone?
